About the Media Education Society
The Media Education Society is a 501(c)(3) public charity rooted in Catholic Social Teaching, dedicated to promoting media literacy education through the lens of the common good. We believe media literacy is essential for faith formation, informed citizenship, personal agency, and community resilience. Our apostolic movement empowers individuals and communities with the skills to discern, navigate, and create media that upholds their Judeo-Christian values.
Position Summary
We are seeking faith-filled, mission-driven volunteers to serve as Media Evangelists. As a Volunteer Media Evangelist, your role is to prayerfully introduce the work of the Media Education Society to your parish and community, using print and digital resources provided by our team. You will act as a bridge between our apostolate and your local parish, helping others discover the life-changing impact of media literacy from a Catholic perspective.
You are encouraged to discern how best to use your God-given talents—whether through parish bulletins, social media, book clubs, school talks, or faith-sharing groups—to inspire others to engage with media critically and faithfully.

Mission Engagement

• Inspire fellow parishioners and community members to explore media literacy education through a Catholic lens.
• Encourage participation in our programs and direct people to our website and newsletter.
Discernment & Creativity
• Reflect on how your unique skills (in media, education, ministry, or communications) can be used to serve this mission.
• Collaborate with parish leaders, school educators, or ministry coordinators to find effective ways to integrate media education into existing formation efforts.
Who You Are
• A practicing Catholic with a desire to serve and evangelize through media.
• Passionate about promoting a Christ-centered understanding of media and culture.
• Comfortable initiating conversations and sharing resources in your parish or community setting.
